ABOUT THE COMPANY

Tacinelli Sports is a family owned and operated sports floor & equipment business based in Poughkeepsie, New York. The Tacinelli name has been synonymous with high quality hardwood flooring installations including high-end sports floors for over 60 years. Tacinelli has installed their Sports Floor Systems in all types of facilities all around the country. Whenever they were installing their systems, they would always be asked if they knew anyone who installed the hoops, nets, bleachers, pads and any other type of sports equipment. Eventually after seeing the potential and the shoddy jobs that were being done by competing sports businesses, Tacinelli decided to bring their high-end, high quality approach to the sports equipment business in 2008. Since then clients have loved the fact that they have one company controlling every aspect of their project.

A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

In 1946, just after World War II, a defense contractor who was retooling for the commercial market laid off my father, Giovanni Tacinelli. He was working on his home at the time and because of the lay off decided to install, sand & finish his own wood floors. He had a natural talent when working with wood and a quality work ethic, so the floors came out beautiful. After he was done, friends and family saw the work and asked if he could do their floors. He took the equipment he had bought, put them in the back of an old black van and a legend in the wood flooring business had begun. He started his business by making his friends his customers; and maintained his business by making himself a friend to his customers, by giving them the quality job they deserved.

My father was a small town "quality" guy who took pride in his work and by doing so, made peoples dreams a reality.

Now, for over 65 years Tacinelli still does business with the same core values it started with; building lasting relationships with our clients by providing them what they want, on time and on budget.
